Cycles and Loops
is a 250-page adult graphic memoir.

During a solo bike ride through the Marin Headlands in California, a middle-aged cyclist experiences a terrifying episode of confusion and memory loss. Afterward, one question troubles him—why couldn't he ask for help, or let anyone in? Answering it means going back through a lifetime of anxiety, depression, family, marriage, and fatherhood, where he discovers that the self-reliance he always considered a strength had quietly become a form of isolation.

The memoir loops backward through those memories, using cycling as both its narrative structure and central metaphor, until the story returns to the ride that opened it.

Rather than focusing on diagnosis, Cycles and Loops explores how emotional habits accumulate over a lifetime and how difficult they become to change. It is a story about attachment, masculinity, aging, and the hidden cost of appearing capable long after that strategy has outlived its usefulness.
